Tom Kieft (Testing Instructor)
Tom Kieft is a former Industrial Arts instructor (25 years). He coached football for 25 years, He has been a school bus driver, a high school Assistant principal, a middle school principal and a director of operations. As a public school transportations supervisor (15 years) he has trained numerous school bus drivers and evaluated school personnel. In 1997, when the State of Michigan, instituted the “Graduated Driver’s License”, Mr. Kieft started testing drivers in Zeeland and a year later started his own business in Grand Haven. During the next ten (10) years he has averaged 550 - 600 driving tests per year.
Mr. Kieft’s family consist of his wife, and two married daughter’s and one grand daughter. He is a life long resident of Grand Haven. He graduated from Grand Haven Senior High school. He has a Bachelors degree from Western Michigan University and a Masters degree from Michigan State University. He retired from Allendale Public Schools in 1998.
Grand Testing Services office is located in Mr. Kieft’s home. The testing location is next to “Quick Cuts Hair Cutting” (barber shop) at 17114 Robbins Road. There he uses his van as a mobile office and has three different courses painted on that large parking lot.
